I have a 95 hardbody 2wd/4cyl/5spd that I want to make able to go fast in the desert. I've never had a nissan or built up a truck before so I'm new to this. I'm looking for any advice you can give on what I'll need to replace, strengthen, etc. I'm on a tight budget so this will be done slowly over time so I'd like to start with the best-bang-for-the-buck mods.

A more specific question also: i need new shocks. Can I get replacements that I can keep using down the line once I make suspension modifications? If so, what do you recommend?

I would only recommend fabtech lift and later on upgrade the shox to king remote resevoirs. On the other hand if you have 4g's lying around go for the total chaos long travel setup with full glass and 32's
