Anybody have the Fabtech lift or know of anyone that does? What's the word on it? I'm more interested in performance than look, but can't afford the Total Chaos kit now. Was thinking about this.

Any ideas?

I had one on my 2wd and I was very happy with it. Though the price was a little high it served me very well and I beath the living crap out of it.

I would say go for it, the total chaos is too much $$$. and if your into serious hardcore off roading (Pre-Running), you should have something custom fabbed that would be much better than the chaos kit for around the same price.

IMHO.

Thanks for the advice. I have a couple more questions: How much trouble is installation? What size tires did you run with it? Any Fabtech dealers you recommend?

Thanks for the help.

I had it installed but it is not a very hard installation at all. Ive witnessed them installed and it is pretty simple, just alot of turning of wrenches.

I ran 31's with minor to no rubbing and was extremley happy with that particular setup.

As for a dealer, just try to find the cheapest price since the parts will be all coming from fabtech anyway BUT if you are looking for installation then I would go with ORW, in my humble opinion they served me well.

OOOOH......fabtech balljoints suck so when your ordering pick up a spare set from somewhere and put those in instead.

The Fabtech kit for hardbodies doesn't include balljoints, so I guess that won't be a problem, unless the kit brakes the stock ones.

rzathagza: I appreciate the advice, but who, besides Total Chaos makes a long travel kit for a Hardbody? I wouldn't mind saving money and waiting a little longer for something better than Fabtech, but I'd be waiting for years for the TC kit.

Are there any other plain lift kits for a 2wd HB ? If I could just get some bigger tires under it maybe I could at least get it out in the desert while I save for long travel.

go custom...same price as a bolt on, but better ride and more travel.

kit came with A arms, tbars and shocks..

My lift in the rear consists of 2" shackle extenders (bought them like 7 years ago and AAL's. I'm 2WD so if I put blocks in, it'll lower my truck.. Frown stupid leafs being on the bottom of the axle.. heh

Is there some reason why the Fabtech 2WD UCAs won't fit on a 4WD Pathy? I don't see any reason why not.
