DEFINITELY a Locker!!!! Chug (Since you only have ONE axle, lock it up!) Smile You should be pretty good w/ a locker (I recommend the ARB for being able to switch it on and off) and the only other thing would be a nice set of M/Ts or heavily lugged A/T. (at LEAST 32's if not 33's!) Later...

Go with a locker. I think your only option is a ARB air locker. With a locker you should have no problems getting to any fishing holes.

Gears would be a little to hardcore for what you do.

Mods for a 2wd, huh?

That's easy... source a tranny and tcase, a dana 44, some suspension crap, a couple driveshafts, maybe some brake lines, and that will just about sum it up... lol Only if you wanted to go my route, haha.

j/k

Yeah, if I still kept my truck 2wd, I would have thrown a locker in the rear, and gone with the total chaos long travel kit. Then, add a body lift, and some tube style bumpers, and you'd be pimpin Cool

The only option for 2wd is rear lockers, Right? NOT the front?

Correct.

You are front axle deprived. You can work on the suspension if you want more hardcore. Pretty much with a 2WD throwing in a locker is as fare as I would go. Anything after that your just wasting money.

Locker and maybe a winch or come-along. The reason I say a winch is because if you get stuck with a locker you are stuck down to your axle. On the + side because winches are not cheap, you could always take it off if you get a 4wheel drive or sell the truck. Come-alongs are cheap and slow but faster then sitting in the mud stuck with you finger in your A$$ woundering how I'm going to get out.

an on board air setup so you can air down/up easily. 2wd's can muck around in soft sand/soil much better when airred down.

And don't forget your recovery tools- jack, shovel, wood, strap, etc...

A tow strap and recovery points. Friends with 4wd to run with are a plus too.

NOTE-Whatever you do, DONT hit the brakes. Minute you hit brakes in sand or some kinds of mud. That’s it your stuck.

a locker and good tires. and the obvious skinny usage.

my HB is still open, but I have 33" Xterrians and it does ok in flat out mud. as long as the tires are spining, I seem to be moving.
