I'm about to pick up a TB and port match the plenum, as discussed on http://www.z31.com . They said you need a SOHC KA, so I'm going to compare both(SOHC and DOHC) and see what the difference is. It's supposed to bolt up, but we'll see...

I found a DOHC KA TB but aparently it won't work. BUT, I did see a couple SOHC KAs in Stanzas. It looks to be the right one. And it might be a little bigger than 60mm, but I'm not sure where they measure these things. It's 70mm at the opening.

I didn't buy it, cause I forgot to look at the vacume lines and stuff on mine. The bolts will line up and they are the right size.

The TPS looked the same, roughly. The wiring was the same as mine but a couple colors were different.

The only bad thing is that the TPS and throttle wheel things would be reversed. This might be an issue, but it might not if everything is long enough.

I didn't see any KA trucks. They might have the correct TB.

Going to look at a Frontier right now...

Cool idea for those Z31 guys. I wonder what the gain ends up being for that?

Its pretty decent.. I put a pathy intake on the VG30 in my 510.. gives the engine tons of torque! The pathy intake is one of the best flowing intakes that nissan ever made for the VG30. Smile

From what I read on the site, gutting the stock Z31 intake gets more high end power, while swapping to the pathy intake makes some low end due to the long runners.

I'm gonna charge the camera and get some pictures of all this sometime this week.

Is this really worth all of the trouble? We'll soon see...

The VG33 plenum is even better than the VG30 one.

I measured my spare VG33 throttle body for you, it's 60mm.

The SOHC VG30 and VG33 intake manifolds are pretty much identical, I know of one part number that cross-references to WD21 and R50 engine applications.
It's the upper plenum between the throttle body and the manifold itself that the VG33 has an edge with over the WD21 Pathfinder version.

I wouldn't mind doing that too. but it's impossible to find one. And who knows if the IAC will even bolt up to the underside.
