don't know how, don't know when, but we had two broken motor mounts. i drove it monday, it was my job to take to the dealer to get the spare tire carrier fixed, and the truck just wasn't right.

didn't think the X had that much torque.

Damn, Lee! How'd you manage that? Marshall was over the other day saying he had a wierd vibration sometimes under power...I looked at his and they seemed OK, but maybe his are cracked too?

Is it clearly visible that they're broken?

I think I need to add another crossmember to the Pathy... I removed the two holding up the IFS center section, and added a beefy springhanger/crossmember to the front, and when I shift it from gear to gear, I get alot of movement. I think I'll chain my mounts soon.. I can't believe your Xterra broke BOTH mounts! haha.. (Not that's its very funny...)

Does anyone here remember the pics of when Robbie broke both his motor mounts in his Pathfinder, and used his winch to winch and hold the engine in place? Now THAT was some crazy stuff! haha

Two?! Bummer! I broke one while wheeling in the Berkshires two weeks ago, at least I think it happened then - it certainly jumped up and wedged itself above the upper flange then. It was vibrating quite a lot on idle and on acceleration the "re-aligned" driveshaft would grind on the safety loop. I drove it the 1 1/2 hours home but was pretty nervous.
