So I washed the heck out of my truck with a pressure washer after bombing a mud hole. I rarely play in the mud but this one called to me. So, I blasted all the mud off of my truck, did a good job getting the underside as well as the engine. Now ive washed my engine dozens of times and never had a problem, I also know not to get close of agressive with the pressure when washing the engine. Mostly I do just a lite rinse. My problem is now the engine is ideling high (bout 1700 rpm) AND the transmission is shifting way to high, to go from first to second it waits till its at almost our thousand rpm to shift. HELP!!
You must have gotten water in one/any of the connectors. Your best bet is to clean all connectors, and verify that they're dry. You can pull 'em apart, and just do a squirt of brake or carb cleaner... even wd40 to repel what ever water is in there.
