I would love to have either for my R180 front axle. I don't want to bother with changing to an R200 just to be able to add a locker. Too pricey at the moment.

I guess I am hoping that one of you Nissan gurus will know of an LSD used elsewhere that will fit. Any thoughts?

I don't know that anything is available. I guess you could weld it and then run with one hub unlocked most of the time.

Other than ARB there are no locker options. AS for LSD, well I know for a fact Calmini sells a very solid clutch type LSD. To this day I've never broke torque. Not quite a locker but a very tight LSD.

Well Res, I have the R200 with the Calmini LSD installed, it could very well be for sale next month. Only issue is you are not close.

The Calmini LSD is very tight, so tight in fact that I run one auto hub and one manual so I can keep it in 3 wheel drive for most part and make turns without snapping the front end when it does break torque, numerous times I have had one wheel in the air and there is no spin on it.

Let me know if you are interested in it, or if anyone else is interested. My Total Chaos Steering and AC SL may be up for sale also (depends on the stock market over then next 2 weeks).

I wonder if it would fit my HB. I would probably need a different crossmember.
It COULD work out, Bob. I could pick it up in March. I'll give it some thought.

You'll need to modify your oil pan as well. The R200a wont clear a Z24 pan.

Are you breaking frontend parts with stock size tires? How hard do you wheel? I might be interested in the axle.

I feel like a dummy head. I checked out Calmini after Bob's post and found that they offer an LSD for the 180 front diff.

It's pricey, though. I also suspect that my ring gear would not be a direct fit due to the 10mm bolts used on the early axles.

Still looking for an affordable solution. Were LSD 180s used in any of the cars? Something I could junkyard?

My 180 is holding up fine with 33s. I'd just like to improve it a bit.

I am not breaking anything, it works great, it feels like I will break a CV because of the snapping but so far it has worked flawlessly. The LSD just makes it harder to turn because it behaves like a fully locked front, hence the reason I wheel in 3 wheel.

But I will say that since I added the LSD up front, I hardly ever use the ARB in the rear, no need to.
