Right now im brainstorming some ideas on my exhaust that i will be fabricating this/next week for my Hardbody. It has a vg33e with Pacesetter headers. But instead of using the y-pipe that connects the headers into one single exhaust, Im am going to keep it dual.

The engine is stock right now with just K&N filter, Electric Cooling fan, and the headers. But within the next year im gunna pick up an xterra supercharger, and put the stock 370cc injectors off my Sr20, and a Jim Wolf tuned ecu piggybacked with an S-AFC. Untill then the truck will remain Naturally aspirated, which is why im sticking with 2" pipes.

My plan is to keep 2"pipes all the way back untill it gets to about the bed, then it will stay dual and have two small sized mufflers then continue to go out the back on each side.

One of the things i've been kind of debating was whether or not to use an H pipe. I know the X pipes are for top end power, but Supposedly the H pipe is meant to syncronize the pulses in the exhaust, allowing for low end torque... Unfortunatley the hardbody is slightly difficult to be fitting an H pipe close to the Header collectors.

Any Info or opinions on the subject are greatly appreciated. And of course when im done ill post up some pics and/or video with sound.

This is the muffler that i was going to use (x2) Magnaflow 4" round Muffler

Well Its almost done, I just have to get about 4 more exhaust flanges to connect the front pieces to the rear, so it can be removed. I went with building my own H-pipe to help low end torque, and to make the sound a little nicer. I ended up buying Mandrel Bent u-bends, and two of the Magnaflow mufflers from the link above. I got that stuff from summit. Hopefully everything will be done by the end of this week, and ill bring it into work to take pictures whiles its on the lift.

There used to be this site called
Headers by Ed w lots of rgeat information on primary sizing of the header(s), exhaust system design, as well as a source of any diameter / material mandrel bent/straight pipe for your particular header/exhaust system project. He's still in business, but the site is no more.

A friend bought a S-AFC for his S13 and I was surprised to see wiring instructions for a VG30.

This sounds cool. I'm going to do something similar but use Megasquirt, unless it's easier to use the S-AFC. Keep us (me) updated Big Grin

Do you know what flow the stock injectors are?

I have (almost) that exact set up your doing, on my Titan... only, minus the mufflers part... Wink - headers, dual pipes, H pipe, dual pipes, all the way back... and I used 2.5" pipe...

I'm eager to hear what it'll sound like on the 3.3!
