Also from a junkyard perspective.
It looks like V6 mustangs and mercury villagers had the same mass air, mustangs should be easier to find.

Also Nissan Quests.....good luck if you go this route.

I saw the reman on Autozone's website. The question now is how did you find the Mustang cross reference and what year mustang?

yea i knew the vans were the same, but i did not know about the stangs supposedly using a VG30....or parts off of a VG....

A maf can be universal for many different similar sized engines. The MAF for the VG33 may work on several other cars because the (insert your manuf.) got a low rate from that MAF supplier.

I have read about a twin turbo 300zx's ECU being programed to multiply the maf input X 2. One intake for one bank had the MAF and the other side did not ( the VG30DETT has two butterflies and throttlebodies) so that they could get around the airflow restriction of the stock MAF.
