I had trouble with the starter in my 87 pathy. I replaced the starter, fusible link and relay. And it still goes 'click, click'. Any suggestions??? I'm getting tired of throwing parts at the truck. Along with the parts afore mentioned; new clutch slave cylinder, tires, radiator, water pump, and t-stat. Plus the A/C is out. I live in Arizona, 20 miles from water, 2 inches from hell. And it's black. Trouble follows me. HELP!!!!!

You might want to check the Clutch safety switch. This might be your trouble.

I have an '89 Nissan Hardbody King Cab with a Chevy truck/Blazer 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift. It will soon have a TBI 350, SM-465 4 speed trans and 208 T-case rounded off with 39" tires.

you should have a blue relay on the right side of the engine bay, behind the battery, 2 plugs going to it, would that be the relay that is clicking??? it was a common thing, lets put it this way.. I carry a spare and it has come in handy too! try a (Nissan part#) 25230-89981 about $16-$17

The AC won't work if there's not enough voltage to kick on the compressor clutch.

BAttery voltage is what?

Thanks to all who helped get my lil ol' truck going. The positive cable was so crudded up I replaced it and put in a Ford Crown Vic power strip from an old police cruiser. It gets the wires away from the battery and corrosion that contaminated them. Thanks to all again. Yours wheeling-ly, Bill.
