I have a 2000 xterra trail rig never sees more than 10 miles of pavement a year. Would it hurt anything to take the cats out or just punch them out? I just don't want them getting cloged up and have to worry about them down the road. Pro's and Con's please.

Im not sure about gas mileage, that would be my only concern.

On the plus side, if you take them out (vs punching them out) I will buy them from you Smile As mine are totally dead.

I still have the original cat under my truck. They clog up over a very long period of time. However you'll want to keep either your cat or a muffler for back pressure reasons.
