I saw a post that said our u-joints are the same as Spicer 1310s. Anyone know for sure if this is true?

Anyone use High Angle Driveline or Driveshaft Superstore for a mail order drive shaft?

91' Hardbody V6 4wd.

Thanks

Update: In the instructions for the Calmini SYE, bottom of second page, is a note that states "The OEM Nissan U-joints are Spicer 1310." I would still like to know if anyone has ever tried installing a Spicer 1310 u-joint on their stock drive shaft. I've got spare u-joints that I purchased from Napa but I don't know if they are the same as 1310s.

Take it into NAPA and have them pull a 1310 U joint from the back and compare the two. Smile I do that all the time with parts.

I seem to remember comparing John's front driveshaft ujoints with a 1310. same size caps, but a MUCH larger cross on the 1310s. Never looked at the rear driveshaft though.

If you go to napa and request a Ujoint for your truck, it comes in a spicer box with the number 1310 on it. I think that tears it.

The front driveshaft has the smaller cross with the 1310 caps.. The rear uses much larger U joints.. they appear to be identical to 1310s.

When I ordered my 1 ton CV front driveshaft thru Driveshaft Superstore...we were both pleasantly surprised that Nissan did use all Dana Spicer drivetrain components!!!! I'm pretty sure both (front ds & rear ds) of our u-joints are 1310s, at least I know 100% sure that the front DS t-case output is!!!!! Later...

I went by the local NAPA store on the way home from work and asked for a Spicer 1310 series U-joint. Of course they don't carry Spicer but they gave me the NAPA equivilant. Kind of funny, the box is marked :210-015 in big numbers and in little numbers 369. The spares I bought from NAPA before for my rear driveshaft are labeled 369 in large numbers and 210-0153 in small numbers. Same parts and same bar code. I didn't remember to ask about the front driveshaft u-joints.

As far as I know, NAPA sells Spicer drivetrain parts under their own name. That's what the local NAPA claims, anyway.
