I'm pretty sure that the carb. is only running on one barrel, but I want to make sure. When looking down on the carb. from the front the choke is on the left. I can only see fuel spraying in the side with the choke. It should also be spraying in the side to the right also. Correct? It was running VERY rough and I pulled the filter out of the fuel line on the front of the carb. and it runs smoother but still acts like it's not getting enough gas. What do you think?

It should only run on one barrel. It has a primary and a secondary. The primary is the one that it runs on 90% of the time. The secondary only comes into play from about 3/4 throttle and on.

You should not see any gas coming out. Do you see black smoke in the exhaust? If so, to much gas.

Check for a vaccum leak...use a spray bottle and squirt water on all of the fittings and gaskets.

Does it run rough at an idle, or when being driven or what?

I had a middle aged moment, and you are correct. The carb seems to be working fine. When the truck warms up and I press the brake pedal down the idle speed increases and I cannot get it back down.I have replaced a lot of vacuum hose but might have missed something.

Thanks for your help. I reached around on the back side of the carb. and found a linkage that you cannot see.I was able to move it and the truck idled down. I was then able to adjust the fule/air mixture.Seems to be running pretty good.Might have to tweek it a little more. I found some good info. and pics. on the carb.on msn message board.Type in nissan 720 truck and go from there. Thanks again. Jim <><
