These are iffy at best. Chances are it wont do much good.. or much bad either. Some people swear by them, but I have a hard time believing that swirling the air is going to make much of a difference... **especially when its done before the throttle body and mass airflow.** The swirling air will just get straightened out or stopped once it hits the flap in the throttle body.

I'd say take the $80 and go get a new distributor cap, rotor, and set of plugs and wires or something that make a definite improvement. A normal tuneup would probably do more to help gas mileage than putting one of these in the intake.

As ususal, I'll say if a $5 (actual cost) chunk of metal made a real difference, something like that would be installed at the factory. They have EPA numbers to maintain, and consumers always pay attention to power and mileage numbers.

They have their uses, but not in a port-injected engine for sure. Maybe useful in a TBI setup, and in a carb setup.

i actually bought one of these about 3 months ago..my gas mileage increased a little per gallon&it made a noticable increase in power...now i have a 95 v6 so i don't know if that in some way help(fuel injected..yadda yadda)but it is well worth the money..actually i probably already made it back in mileage&no complains on the little extra boost of horse power-which tornado has my truck rated at 5-7 i believe...my only complaint is i am already used to the power increase...guess its time to get something else to boost the horses!
