There's a Nissan Genuine Advantage sensor on the crank pulley, so if you put non-Nissan belts on it you'll only have 30 days before the truck completely shuts down.

Did you pull the codes? Big Grin

belts? all 3 belts (alt, ac, power steering?) or the timing belt? I just got done blowing my timing belt (luckily I didnt fry the motor) and replaced the timing belt as well as the three listed above. my check engine light came on too, but after a few miles went away. I have heard the slightest change in any of the engine parameters will trigger the service engine light to go on. Even if you forget to put your gas cap on after pumping $80 worth of gas into a 17 gal. tank (frickin gas prices!!! ugh!!) idk....I feel ya gator. truck runs fine now tho!
