Hi guys, great site....amazed at the knowledge on here, i'm hoping one of you can help with my interesting dilemma, I have a jeep kit that has been built on a nissan 4x4 chassis, running a ford 3l v6 and toyota prado gearbox and t.c. What i'd like to know is what diffs/axles combination i have? all i know is it must be 1994 or older, discs all around, ifs front and leaf rear.
Here's some photos that i hope will help

Front diff looks like a Nissan K-R180. These were found in the front of some of the early 80s 4x4 trucks and in the rears of various Nissan IRS sports cars:

Rear is not a 200. My guess is 190. This may be a 720 setup. Not D21/WD21 Because the front diff is not offset.

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Cant be a C200.. has 9 bolts on the rear diff cover.

Wasnt the 190 a 3rd member diff or did it have a diff cover?

The front axle is definitely a Nissan R180. The rear axle is from another make. 8 bolt diff cover is not like Nissan also the fill plug is male VS Nissan are female. The rear axle also has the two holes for a case spreader. No Nissan axle have those holes.

I willing to be the rear axle is Jeep, dana or gm made axle.

Its a GM 10 bolt in the back, similar to a dana 44.

The front probly has 720 shafts, but the diff is on the wrong side for a 720.

Its not a chevy 10 bolt, 10 bolts have a relief on the cover for the ring gear.

Chryslers 8.8s have the same thing

And those holes are where the welds go to keep the axle tubes in.

The rear axle bolt pattern looks like a 9 Bolt Borg-Warner.

See the gasket bolt pattern here:

9 Bolt Borg Warner from a Chevy Camaro/Pontiac Firebird '82-'92:

Look for a stamp like this somewhere on the axle:

If its a leaf spring rear then its not a pathfinder chasis. Could be a 720 or Hardbody. Pathy's have coils.

The front portion of the 9 bolt doesnt seem to agree with the axle you have though..

9-bolt axle:

I wonder if it was a leaf sprung 9-bolt. The photos above are of coil sprung 9-bolt axles.
