I wish I could see a 2000 Hardbody... smiley36

And, what on Earth is a Nissan/Datsun Tracker?

that rear axle is definately not standard Nissan equiptment... I would be willing to bet, that rearend is either the ford 8.8 or a chevy axle, as mentioned previously...

Why do you want to know so badly, btw?...

South Africa could also easily explain how you got a BW 9 bolt rear axle. They were common everywhere BUT North America in GM vehicles. Only used in 82-93 firebird/camaros in the states, and rarely at that.

This was THE common axle through the 80s for Holden of Australia.

It could have definitely been used by other manufacturers.

There is the issue, you probly have all kinds of import stuff that we dont have. How about some more information. The 10 bolt that I am thinking about would be full width if it had disks, what is the WMS on this axle? Ring gear measurments or such could also go a long way. What Can you measure the joint on the pinion?

the diff cover bolt pattern looks right for the BW 9 bolt as datz pointed out.. if it was an OEM leaf spring app, that would explain the lack of traction bar mounts on the casting. The picture datz showed is for a 82-93 firebird/camaro application.

From what I understand from reading around about this axle, Nissan/Datsun DID put Borg Warner rear axles in some of their vehicles outside the states, so it is possibly a factory item for that drivetrain.

The guys on our local forums seem convinced it's a nissan/datsun tracker chassis, wich is the equivolent to the 720, and if so, wouldn't it be a c200 or even a h190 rear diff? can anyone confirm this?
