I just purchased a 1994 XE 4wd out of state because of a great deal, but can't fly in to pick it up untill this weekend. What can you tell me about the 2.4L L4 EFI motor. Is it o.k. for a 4 banger

1994 KC 4x4 Ka24e

The KA24E only has 4 spark plugs. You are thinking of the Z24i motor that was in the 87 you mention, which has 8 plugs. And I dont mind my KA24E being a little underpowered, you get used to it and its really not that bad. As long as it is dependable, which it is, I'm not going to complain!
