Whilst you don't have the Terrano2/Maverick over there (in fact a Ford Maverick is something completely different I believe) we all share the same basic H233B rear axle. Has anyone done a rear disc conversion for one? I know some trucks came with them as standard but not many (if any UK spec) over here so sourcing parts that way isn't really possible. I know from people with Terrano R3M (a Japanese import, like your Pathfinder I think) that the rear calipers also have Mitsubishi logos cast into them, are they common with a mitsi truck do you know.

Looking to do this for a couple of reasons, spend a fair bit of time in water and the drums fill up with silt but also more stopping power on the road wouldn't go a miss

It's been done but most have changed out the whole axle instead of swapping parts around. I don't know what parts exactly, but I can look it up tonight.

It's funny you mention the Mitsubishi logo. I saw it on one of my rear calipers last week.

Do you have any photos of your rear axle for comparison?

Hope they're ok, the straps hanging down and the wiring are from the LPG tank - it fell off at the weekend when the straps gave way from old age (rust).

I think it's probably about the narrowest of the H2333s track is quoted as 1410 mm 55.5 in

normally people swap out a axle out of a pathy or SE-V6. If you take the half shafts with all brake hardware it will fit in a drum axle. Then you will have to fab up your parking brake cables and brake lines.

The hardbody truck is 58.X in wide. The 95 and older pathfinders have the same axle width as the truck.

Your only luck is to find a H233b with the same axle with as yours. I'm not aware of any H233b us spec axle smaller than 58". The 98+ pathfinders and frontiers received a wider axle.

That looks exactly like the underside of my 92 Pathfinder.

I had to work late last night and didn't get a chance to look this up. I'll get back to you.

If the Mavericks came with a rear disk option, I would try to find one of those and swap the whole axle, as long as the gear ratio is the same. But I have no information on UK-spec Nissans.

No UK spec R20 Terrano's came with rear disc (despite the UK being the major market for rear disc cars of all types for some reason? Even german manufacturers that spec drums in German spec discs over here).

The only Terranos that I know of that do are R3M Terranos imported from Japan (I've only ever seen 3) and they are D21's (like your Pathfinder) and are quite a bit wider).

Any info on disc conversions on H233B axles much appreciated.
