I've got a 4 cyl truck '98 and want to replace my ARB'd C200 with an ARB'd H233B. The flange on the other axle is bigger than the one on my driveshaft. Is the Ujoint the same for a 4 banger truck and a V6 so I can just use the outer flange mount and a new Ujoint on my existing driveshaft?

I haven't measured from the diff to the flange yet to see if they're the same distance on both axles, requiring the same length driveshaft. Otherwise it might get expensive getting one made.

To answer your first question I don't know?

But to your second.... I *think* you would be fine. I don't think it is that big of a difference, if any, because of the play that you have with the slip shaft coming outta the t-case. Unless you were to compress both tires to their max. I think that would be pretty hard to do.

Hey Andy.. if you have to, Mesa Driveline does excellent work fabbing new driveshafts. I had the whole DS custom built for my 510.. for $200. That included the tubing, balancing, new U joints, and a new input flange.

You just take it in, and say "I want that end on this driveshaft".

I've heard good things about them as well. If worse comes to worse, call Jesse at High Angle Driveline. (www.highangledriveline.com) He does TONS of work for the POR guys and I don't think he's EVER had a driveshaft break. Mesa Driveline sounds like a good start though.

I think I've got the driveshaft angle covered.

Karsten, I'm going to do one of two things - either use the ARB I have in my rear axle in the 200 front that I have, or sell the entire C200 rear complete to get the cash for something else.

Sorry buddy frown

Hey Andy, the angle in the name doesn't really mean anything.. They just build driveshafts for F350's with 20"+ of lift and 44's and that's what the high angle part is for. I gave you that addy because they build driveshafts for ANYTHING. And do REAL good work too.

Have you tried looking at a D21 driveshaft? When I did that same swap with my Hardbody it was a direct bolt-in. I bet a D21 driveshaft will work. As soon as I get my truck back I will check the flange size and bolt pattern.
Lator.....
