Ok, still working on my exhaust. I have the new Pacesetters on, loosely. Here is the fitment issue tho...the top of the EGR tube is not about 2" higher that it should be and an inch to the right, also the angle of the bend is no longer correct to mate up to the EGR itself. Also where the tube bolts in to the bottom the bend is such that its just kissing a rubber something on the steering shaft. This wont do either.

Is there a such thing as flexi EGR tubes? seems like that make it all very easy.

Alternative: would there be a performance issue if I just sealed up the header adn EGR with a couple nuts/bolts? If this is a viable alternative, what size nut/bolt is needed? I'm pretty sure McMaster Carr will have it Smile

I blocked off the EGR a couple years ago and haven't noticed any difference.

Don't know what size those threads are, sorry Wink

I completely removed tube and valve. Made a block-off plate for the valve. Never noticed any ill effects.

Good thing you don't have to smog the truck. You'd FAIL here.

I was able to confabulate something. I found an old metal bushing for a set of shocks, SO I cut about 2.5" out of the stock tube and welded it back together using the bushing as a patch. I was able to try fit it a couple times to e tthe bends just pointed the right way and presto chango I got a working (if bent and banged) EGR tube.

Man its nIce not having the Pathfinder as a daily driver, I can take my time and do a better job and not have to work on days with 100% plus humidity.

Md is a smog state so that is a concern, tho last test I passed with flying colors despite the many holes in the pipes and headers.

Have you noticed and real power gains? I've been putting off replacing my broken studs. Yes 2 vehicles is very nice. You have plenty of time to get the broken one fixed and fixed right. Don't have to rush your self.

When I put the Thorleys on I didn't notice adything dramatic. This time I'm replacing everything, even the Cat. Fromthe Cat back it'll be a Borla Stainless since thats the bit thats most prone to rust out what with me taking the truck surf fishing and all. Smile
