Smile I found the problem. It's the carrier bearing. I did a google search and Autozone sells them for $72. Not bad compared to $278 at the local dealership and Napa wants $210 for thr same thing.

check car-parts.com for a 1pc drive shat. That way you'll never worry about the carrier bearing again. You should be able to score a d/s for $100.

I ordered mine new. P/N 37300-9z000. Here are all the models which came with the 1pc drive shaft.
Drive shaft, frontier, 3.3l, 4wd - h190, h233 2001.

Drive shaft, frontier, 3.3l, 4wd, w/o crew cab - h190, h233 2002 - 2004.

Drive shaft, frontier, 3.3l, 4wd, w/crew cab, standard bed - h190, h233 2002 - 2004

Quote from nissannut web site {Weld to weld is 45.5"}. Measure your drive shaft and see if it is the same length. I looked up the drive shat at car-parts.com. They have some listed for $100.

Beware. I have a 98 frontier. The carrier bearing on the truck was from a 96 HB. Use rockauto.com and look at the picture first. The one for my truck was 20 bucks plus shipping.

Thanks dieselWillie, I got the one piece drive shaft and it took away 90% of the problem. The remaining 10% is still there, but I think it's from the motor mount or the trans mount. I am going to strap down the the tranny to the cross member first and see if that takes care of it. The truck is drivable but taking off from a small hill still makes it wobble a bit.

AWESOME thread guys. My center support bearing just went out and n4w.com was the first place I turned 'cause I new the answer would be here. I'd like to get the one piece ds but I'm wondering if it will cause any problems with the Calmini 3" lift. It looks like the driveline angle might drop low enough to hit the crossmember that the center support bearing usually mounts to. Has anybody put the one peice ds on a 4x4, kc with a 3" lift?
