Hey guys, I found my way over here from Ronin. I have a 1989 Pathfinder with a 3" BL so far. I'm in the process of scrounging up some parts for a PML. I live in Colorado. About a year and a half ago my pathy was stolen and pretty much parted out. I had the same rims I have now, but different tires. I added up everything that was taken and it was about 2000$ worth of stuff, gone. I found where the guys lived that did it, since my tires and rims were on their pathfinder now. I told the cops, the impounded it, but let them go. They didn't have to pay an impound fee or anything, but I did. Oh well, that's Saudi Aurora for ya. But yea, Packman5280 lead me over here. I'll post up some pix when I get home.

The cops recently told me if you leave your keys in the car and it gets stolen the thief is not liable!
WTF is that crap!? That just makes me pissed off...seriously retarded law. Here in Wyoming I can shoot you dead for trespassing without really any worry or problems. But if I leave my keys in my car it is fair game! Oh and I have left the keys in my ignition for well over 10yrs here. Own 7 trucks and never had a problem. But since the law man told me this I don't leave the keys in my Taco or my Patrol anymore. |

It's illegal to leave your keys in the ignition or walk away with the vehicle running in the state of Florida.
Crappy deal on your stolen pathy. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |

Yea, it's illegal to leave it running here. And we have that same law here Fudd. Make-My-Day Law. But there are some stipulations such as: The intruder must be threatening your life...etc..
I'll plant something on them then =D I heard they were working on a vehicle law approximately the same way. You can use excessive force to protect yourself if your under hijacking. Either way, I would go to jail for my pathfinder... 89 Pathy 3" BL Soon: 3" PML |

well I think we have the leave it running law too....that is a safety thing. But I was talking just leaving keys in car. I can understand that maybe being a safety thing too, kids running out of control taking it for a spin. But keys sitting in console and thief steals car and I am liable!? Just is a huge pile of BS!
I had a guy bum rush onto the property here where I live a couple of summer ago. Bit of road rage on the way home and he followed me into driveway. Then starting going off, he seemed drunk. He didn't leave when I told him to so I called the cops. When the cops showed up to talk to me I asked them if it is "ok" for me to get out my gun in instances like this. The cop nearly laughed and said "you are in Wyoming man, you can shoot him dead just for coming on the property". He then went on about it some more but of course said I should call them first. Mostly due to if the other guy had a gun and it broke out into a gun fight! That is Wyoming for ya!! If somebody tries to steal any one of my trucks during the night you can be sure I will call the cops as I am loading my gun and heading out the door! Perhaps this is why people don't steal cars here? |

Haha, I am so moving to Wyoming. Get 3 acres of land. It's enough room for...cemetaries...right?
