Is it just me or is the powers behind NASCAR getting in too much control?? They issue springs, shocks, wings and who knows what else. Pretty soon (I think) they'll have one engine builder, one chassis builder and one body template. The only thing the teams will be ALLOWED to do is put in the drivers seat. Even then the driver will probably be cloned....

It's getting that way. You would think they would take notice of what happened to the IROC series. I think if a team can figure out that valving a shock or changing a gear ratio will give them an edge, then so be it. I think at some races NaziCar even dictates the air pressure WTF?

NASCAR is already there. It's just a matter of time before everything is regulated to the T.

Yep, it's really too bad. I think they should be forced to go back to stock bodied cars, or at least use the OEM dimensions on these cars and let the manufacturers fight out the aerodynamics advantage.

Or better yet race "stock cars". Throw a cage and some race tires on it and go. Can you imagine the cars we'd be able to buy if they did that.

want this the whole point behind NASCAR. I know auto manufactures loved it in the 60's and 70's when one of their cars was doing really well in nascar. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |
