OK, I've made arrangements for a few accomodations on the run.

First, we should have a young man to perform camp guard duties. $10 per truck. That means we should be able to leave our stuff in camp on Days 1, 2, and 3 and feel safe that it'll be there when we get back. (right JW??)

Second, I've reserved 5 motel rooms in Florence at the Blue Mist Motel right on the main drag from 12-3 on Thurdsay, 3/16. We'll be passing through town after being out for 3 days and 3 nights. They've promised to provide extra towells, but bring your own just in case. That should be enough showers to get everyone a chance to clean up, get any supplies they need in town, and then we do the hour drive to camp that night so we can tackle Charouleau the next morning.

I footed this one myself. You can make donations to me during the run if you'd like.

I thought one of the goals for these trips is getting away from it all. Instead, you embrace it when you could be wheeling.

A washcloth a little soap and water and 2 minutes should be all that's needed to cleanup.

Datz's little shower setup isn't going to keep 30+ people clean. We've had no rain for 4 months. That = DUSTY conditions. Trust me, after 3 days and nights out, people are going to appreciate this.

This is the only pavement we see for the whole run. We're still getting away from it all.

Bille, please comment when you get a 4x4 and actually join us for one of these.

Oh yay! Now I guess this means that I won't be pulling up to camp and finding 25 dirty, smelly people!

I think I might meet up with y'all at the Blue Mist on Thursday, instead of trying to find the campsite by my grappy lil GPS that only works half the time.

Google Maps says it's only 1.5 hours from my apartment, so hopefully I can get everything I need to do taken care of on Wednesday and then I can leave by 12 on Thursday to get to the BM by 2 before y'all leave.
