Well, money's tight and I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it out now. Hotel/motel's gonna kill me too. I'm looking at about $400 in gas alone. Someone to split driving/expenses with would make this a sure thing. Any takers? I'll split some trail driving with you too!!

No one coming out should worry about staying in a hotel....I have a place outside of Phoneix (about 1 1/2 hrs Frown) but there is room at my place if anyone wants. About an acre, so plenty of room for trucks, I got a tent trailer and room at the house. That plus Johns place plus others should keep everyone who wants out of Hotels.

Man, you'll really kick yourself if you don't come and then see the pics and vids of the run. Lodging is not an issue once you get to AZ, and you can get here in 2 days easily - crash in the Pathy on the way.

I'd ride with you if I wasn't flying.

...and I'm not 100% sure if I'm going. I have this bad feeling this systems analysis project I'm about to start is somehow going to take over my spring break. I'll have to talk with that prof tomorrow...

Don't let it happen Will. Tell him it's not a spring break without the Break portion.

We're looking at vendor involvement and we really want to have good participation this year. And you guys know you want to come to AZ more than anything Big Grin

Okay Phil, I'll gas up your truck before the run, and after the run and you got many free places to stay options.

Now get it in gear man!

Yep, from Illinois is a good 2 day drive. been there, done that, but I was a wuss and took a week, but only because my car broke down 4 times driving out in the middle of the summer. hah

Phil, If you or anyone else needs help with fuel.. I'm willing to pitch in what I can to help out as well.

This run is going to be a true test of skill and endurance, man and machine. Its not something you all want to miss.

It truly is a great time. Even more so for someone from out of Arizona. We'll be in a gorgeous spot for the whole week, very unIllinois like terrain.

The camping, food and company was even better. Even a constant downpour couldn't kill it last year.

correction.. constant downpour *and* near-freezing temperatures at night. :P Last year was crazy.

I'm hoping this year is going to be a little warmer.. we will definitely be at lower altitudes for the whole run, so that should make a huge difference right there. Last year, we were up near 7000ft a few times. This year, we'll be around 2500-4000 most of the time and 3 weeks later in the year, coinciding with the first day of Spring.

the near freezing part will be a given.. its gonna be chilly out there. Just pack a small tent and a 20 degree sleeping bag and you'll be fine.

Well, I hate to inform you all of this, but there is NO WAY I can make it out. Money is WAY to tight. Wife was injured at work, and her company is not comming up off the Workers Comp. We have a lawyer, but that's gonna take a while. So, it looks like next year for me... Frown
