Can you send me a map of exactly where we will be camping on Friday night? I couldn't find Mistake Mine.....I'm working some options, really what I need to know is how far from Wickenburg we will be.

Thanks,

Stone

Ok, we'll be camping in or on the Box canyon of the Hassayampa. I suspect that we'll probably be up top, since we dont need to stay in any box canyons with the rain we've had. Basically, follow the Hassayampa north from Wickenburg. There is a route listed for "Box Canyon of the Hassayampa" in the AZ Backcountry Adventures book that shows all this.. this is what we'll take. Just before you get to the really narrow portion of the canyon, thee is a campsite off to the left under a HUGE old tree. This is one spot. You get to the second spot if you keep left while going through the canyon after the first spot, there is a road that ramps up and out of the canyon. There is a huge open campsite right there at the top of the road. This is the other potential spot.

I'll make up a map and post it as soon as my 'puter stops rendering video. Everything's really slow right now.

Okay, looking to try to meet up with my wife and daughter. They may camp Friday night and run Saturday. Any advice on where to meet them would be appreciated.

I was thinking Wickenburg, but how far away from there are we finishing on Saturday? I can't tell from your maps. How far time wise are we camping from Wickenburg?

Thanks, Marshall

Wickenburg will be a good place to meet. The time is iffy if she's coming out Friday....plan for probably 3-4 in the afternoon and we can pick a gas station. We're camping about 30 mins outside of Wickenburg is all. On Saturday, we'll come back out on US60 about 10 miles this side of Wickenburg. DL will be coming out Saturday morning and probably leaving a car in Wickenburg, so at the very least, I'll be headed back into town before coming home. Will need to air up anyways.

Thank you. She'll be coming up around 5:30-6:00. I was planning on going from the campsite, down to meet her. That way I'll know for sure were we are camping.

That should work. We're camping up the Hassayampa river canyon not that far from town.
