Well, I got a call from Steve Kramer today and he was just beside himself that he couldn't make it to the run, but his schedule just won't allow it. In talking to him, I can tell that he needs a day out wheeling as bad as the rest of us too.

He did say to mention that the SYE kits should be available within the week, and that the output shafts will be sold on a core exchange basis. We'll keep watching the Calmini site for updates. He also has the 2004 catalogs in the works.

He did extend an open invite to the Calmini Custmoer Appreciation Run on the Rubicon sometime in Mid August. Obviously only those with extremely capable trucks need come - lockers, lift, etc. I'm gonna start looking hard at my calendar and try to decided between this and the reformatted GOX event this year.

All these runs, so little precious vacation. A week up in Wyoming hunting this fall has got to fit in there too.

I dunno. GOX might change this year and be more of an overland trip like the run we took back in 2001 through Colorado. I had an awful lot of fun on that run, and the scenery was absolutely spectacular. We'll see.

Hey DR, I've been thinking of planning a run across Colorado from the western slope to Denver, and I'm curious about the route you took. Do you have any info that you could send me, or anything you remember from that trip? No big rush or anything, as it will probably be next year anyway, but I am starting to look for ideas for this trip. This summer will likely be mostly weekend trips, hitting as many trails as possible looking for a good series.

Sorry for the post jack.

Search the AC board in Tales from the Trails for all our old posts regarding the route. The run was in August, 2001, so look for stuff in July. The itinerary was posted.
