Pretty sure this year will be a non-stop run (aside from fuel). I imagine whoever brings the heated camp shower will be very popular.

i'm planning it, whether it will happen or not depends on $$, and time. want to miss the least amount of school and if i could meet up or leave mid-week it would make it easiest for me...

I could work that out for you if you want. Just let me know if you can make it. I'll probably head back mid week for a night at home anyway. The weekend of the Jambo kicked my ass with all the dust and sun..

Chris - if it makes a difference, the first 3 days of the run will be the most difficult/challenging trails. The 2nd half trails will still be nice and have challenging lines.

If you love something set it free.
If it comes back, it will always be yours.
If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with.

But, if it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money and doesn't appear to realize that you had set it free.....
You either married it or gave birth to it !!

It is a go for broke run, but we'll be fairly close to town for some nights, so those of you who want to head in for a shower/resupply can do so.

Yeah, Chris, come for the first half. I don't know how interested I'll be in running a 40 mile trail. Smile But everything is so close in FJ, that you can go out there everyday and come back everyday if you really want.

Camping is the best part - but after about 3 or 4 days you are all gonna STINK!

I don't think I'd last 3 days in the rain. However, camping out with SWANKy is DEFINITLY something that needs to be lived through. Who's up for some sausage, and bacon and eggs, dipped in bacon grease? Smile

if your actually camping then it's a given you're going to stink. after a few days i get to the point where deoderant doesn't even start to cover the stankness Big Grin
oh yeah and the best breakfast is this, fry up some bacon then load some creamcheese on a bagel, "toast" said bagel, creamcheese side down, in teh pan with the leftover bacon grease, then slap it all together. i can actually feel my heart slowing down when i eat those...

yeah mikey i definately want to make it out there without a doubt. school is a big factor though, my last semester of undergrad so i'm not sacrificing that for anything. start my masters in mech eng in the fall next year at cornell so i'm stoked.

now my questions....
you guys are running out on sunday right?
is the camp spot going to be moving each day for the first half? don't know if my junk will be street legal if i have my way with it.
how far would the nearest town be? and would they have propane tank filling? Wink
do i need some sort of permit for being out of state? i know you guys had something like that for last year...
there's more but i'm at my internship so my brain doesn't work good right now Razz

The run is from Monday-Saturday. We'll be anywhere from 30-50 miles from town. Not sure on the propane.

And yes, an Arizona State Trust land permit will be required. If you don't have one, you risk big fines.

We will be providing all information needed by the first week or so of December.

DR - I thought we decided on March 14 - 20? That's what we've been telling everyone - Sunday - Saturday.

If people want to run Sunday, I'm up for it.

Florence has propane. But don't worry, we'll have plenty of it for the grills already. No sense in filling up a 20-30 gallon tank unless you want to take it back with you.. Wink hehe

Hey Mike, you've got your own playground up there... Table Mesa is practically a half hour away! Smile

There is NO shortage of propane on the runs. I brought 4 canisters myself last year.. and only used one.
