I got the new rad hoop built, and welded on. I think it's gonna be kinda interesting when it's all done. I might have to swing over to ZUK's place and yoink some of Bertha's tube... I mean, it's just sittin' there not going to any use! haha

I eliminated the rattle of the steering column support hitting the frame too. Welded that sucker up good. hehe

Anyone else workin' on theirs this weekend? Or is everyone doin' the cleanup thing?

I've got the main part of the front done for mine. Had to go pick up toob from BGB Steel (good people BTW).

The front is gonna be TONS better than before. No more boner for me. Unfortunately, it looks kinda like a Jeep. Oh well. Everything is tied in real well, and I could theoretically use a jack on the tubes. Need to mount the radiator, clearance the fan shrould, and brace the hell out of it. I think I'm gonna put some expanded steel on the front to prevent "recurrences" of what happened last time. After work, I'm picking up the new trans, so I'll be able to have a decent driveline angle in the rear, and I won't have to worry about blowing the rear Ujoint.

Today I reinforced the front bumper. I tied it into the frame where the factory mounts bolt to...only I welded a plate from that to the existing mounts . I also added a new crossbrace betwen the two mounts, notched the skid and integrated a reciever hitch in the middle just below the bumper. It works great for the hi lift and I should be able to get a reciever shackle in there as well (if I left room for the pin)... I will post up more on that monday along with a few pics
