We did this on the Colorado run and it should work out well for the AZ 6 run.

Every evening if everyone would dumb copies of their pictures in the caR50's system at the end of the run I will burn a dvd(s) with all pictures for everyone.


THis is cool for two reasons:

1. I can store your pictures so you just delete them and have an empty card.

2. everyone that participates gets all the pictures of the run, even those without cameras.

SO!!! bring the USB cable for your camera. I am running windows XP and most cameras just show up as a removable drive (except for some older HPs).


I will also be able to accept digital video via firewire and analog video, but hard drive space may become limited so bring DVDs if you want DV saved. It's about 3 DVDs per 60 mins of DV.

I will bring my all in one card reader so the poeple like me, who lost that usb cable can still off load.

I may be able to bring along a laptop with an EVDO card... with some luck we can stream the days video to the web in the evening for all the folks web wheeling. We could at least post pictures from the trail a couple times during the run.

Could we run some real time video through the R50 rolling media center? I saw that done before on the Pirate4x4 site, it was killer to see what was going on as it happened!

That would actually be pretty easy to set up. All you'd need is a webcam and an internet connection, and you're pretty much set.

The only problem is getting an internet connection way out in the middle of the freakin desert.

yes glen is bringing is DLP and screen which we have trail tested. This year I plan to have external speakers that plug into the stereo.



My cell phone is also a modem, as on the colorado trip if I can get a signal we can send chit.

What everyone else missed was that while you were out running around in your undies getting pelted with stones by Jim I was letting loose several days worth of chili-gas into our cabin. Keef sneaks back in the door and YELLS "OH GOD D@##IT YOU'VE BEEN FARTING IN HERE!!!!"

Righteous offer. Do I need to bring a blank DVD for pic's? Or should I/we kick a few bucks to ya for the DVD?

extra DVD-/+ r/rws would be nice

I've got a bunch of DVD-Rs that I'll bring along. I'll also bring my Laptop with a DVD burner if the need arises for more burning power!
