Hey banana, I read through the AZRUN3 forum and couldn't find a review of the Terminator trails from last year. I was interested in what vehicles had attempted them and who made it out. Someone had asked (preAZ3) how long those trails might take and if I remember correct dude spent 6 hours on trail with repairs. Estimates 1 hour trip w/o all the holdup. It took me 8 hrs. Luckily I didn't break much.

We didn't do Terminator on AZ3. We were in that area, but Table Mesa turned out to be wicked enough since we went through there in a downpour, and the agua fria was 3 feet deep where we crossed. Terminator was nothing but a rushing river at the time.

I ran Terminator when I was IFS. I bent a tie rod, and some Jeep guy broke a RF ujoint. I think all in all it took about 8 vehicles about 5 hours to run it. (Oh, that was LOWER Terminator, Upper is easier) However, I have heard that since all of the rain came about, that the Terminator/Predator/Annihilator wash has become fairly gnarly. I want to go back up there as soon as I get a trailer. Most of the BTG guys run it in about 10 minutes. (Full tube buggys)

The driver of the Jeep which accompanied us all day said it usually ran him only 25-35 min. His crawler was trailered out to Table Mesa. Mine was a near stock '01 X. Took a winch only for one obstacle. How'd you rate that? 4,4&1/2?
Oh and what're the BTG people? Thanks guys. smiley4

I'm not totally fond of the BTG guys, but they are okay. WAY into rockcrawling. Even more than me. I haven't run that trail in quite a while, but when I ran it, I'd say it was about a 3 to a low 3.5. If you took a near stock XJ through it, it's not gonna be much more than a 3.

ConfusedMy bad, not an XJ mikey, I drive a NISSAN, an XTERRA Big Grin. All I had were MTs and a clearance Killin' brushguard. No gears, no lockers. I only got it in 7/03. It was near stock then, quite beefy now.. my "X" nowStrange

Well, regardless, it's not much more than a 3.0. I've heard there are some cool optional lines off to the side on that trail that can boost it right up to a 5.0 if you in the right spot. Smile

Did you run Upper or Lower? (I.E. did you run the "White Line") Where are the pics!?!?!

That was actually quite recently when a few of the AZXC guys went through there....like a couple months ago. There's also a thread about it in the AZXC forum on XOC.

Yeah, myself and Yellow Gecko were out at table mesa deciding where to go, muddin', crawlin', we weren't sure. So dude in trailered lifted Jeep looks over our nearly stock Xterras and says, "you'll be fine..." so off we wentThree hour tour.. I only posted to see if any Swanky Xterras had done the trail, From what I see it'd be no. I'm considering running it again now with the mods I carry..

I'd consider it. Not too many SWANKy xterras...mostly Frontiers, Pathfinders, HB's, etc....only a couple X's, and mine's stock.

Am pretty sure I could get my Frontier through with the lockers and gears tho. Right after the AZ run in March, tho, I'm SASing it.

SmokinHey Andy, by the by, congratulations on the new X. I'd seen a few posts from DL with the pics. Nice color.
I've commited to MOAB this year already or I 'd have commited to AZRUN4. Went there w/ AZXC after GOX the week after I bought it and had a blast!I figure this year I'll get it outta' the system and come home to AZ.. Settle in for another long list of repairs to be made as I have my fun banana

Yeah, unless something awful's happened since you rolled Blue Meanie and I missed it, I think you'd make it just fine smiley4

Actually, I've had that X for about 2 years now...bought it new then. Has just been the family hauler tho. DL couldn't take it anymore and just had to wheel it tho, so now it's getting a few choice parts added. I'll be using a lot of Meany lift parts on it after the SAS is complete on it.

Yeah, that looks like Upper. I'd say it's about a 3.0. Pretty good. Nice pics. Lower's a little harder. I bent a tie rod on the "Zturn". I'd kinda like to run that wash some time. It's been a long time since I've been up to Table Mesa. Now that I have a trailer and truck, I think I'll be wheelin' a lot more. Smile
