We will probably be off Charouleau mid day Saturday. After 6 days out, I don't know how many would be interested in this, or if we just want to head back to Casa de Datz and watch videos like we have the past couple years.

There is an outside chance that I could join up with you guys on Day 4 (the 16th, in the evening).

Also...I wasn't able to pick up a locker, and highly doubt I will be able to do so before the run...how much will this hinder me? I know The Step on Charleau will be tough, but any other places on that trail that I should look out for?

There is a way around the step, We found it by mistake, but we do have it maped on GPS so we can find it again. the only consern for the gap is 31 or over tires and a 2-3in lift, sliders could be helpful but I don't remember anyone useing them on the pre-run. The only consern is if there is water in the creek that we have to drive down, and cross a few time so no rain dances. smiley43 Other then that the gap should be ok Gummybob mad it with 31's, 3in lift and no lockers just fine.

I haven't defined our Day 4 campsite yet....need to get down there in the next couple weeks and figure out where that will be.....will likely be near the intersection of Hwy 79 and the Oracle hwy.

Maybe Saturday I'll do a little recon. Also have to make some stops in Florence to make a few more surprise arrangements.

Ok, cool...

I've got sliders and full skids. 32s and a 2-3" SL. I'm trying like hell to get a locker before then, but you know how things go.

I'm trying not to have to charge it. Plus my credit card company would shoot me. Haha.

Hopefully with the addition of the front locker (already locked rear) my days of charging it will be over. I don't like a lot of skinny pedal... makes me nervous.

I did that today. I should get it back before I have to leave. If not, I'll just run by the office when I get into PHX.

I signed up for the alternate run on Wed [Coke Ovens] but before I get the all important kitchen pass,is this still on? Wasnt sure if anyone else was doing this,or if everyone was doing the Martinez Mill and beyond run.If its on,from where, and about what time are you leaving? And,anything I could resupply I'll bring, extra ice maybe??

I'll probably run the coke ovens. Martinez Mine is too much for my unlocked X. Are you going to come out to camp Tuesday night or meet up on Wednesday morning? Have you ever been through Box Canyon or to the Martinez cabins there? We'll go to the cabins with the group and then go run the Coke Ovens trail when the monster trucks go to run the Martinez Mine trail. Its probably easiest to find the camp off Cottonwood Canyon road Tuesday night or Wednesday morning rather than come up Box Canyon alone up to the cabins Wednesday morning but that could work too.

Unfortunately, I won't be making it out for Wednesday - joining up on Thursday, but I would definitely be up for a Coke Ovens run sometime after AZRun... smiley22

Are we still going to invade John’s place after the run, or did that get changed, if we can't go?

I'll be coming out in the am,thru Cottonwwod Canyon since its probably a little faster that way.Any idea what time frame?? I'll have the cb on to find everyone either way.Looking foward to the run,I've done Box Canyon,Telegraph,Martinez Cabins, and Coke Ovens via Battleaxe rd,but never coming in the "front"way. Can't wait!!

Yeah, I was going back through all my SWANKy/N4W vids and Coke Ovens was one of the ones that stuck out in my mind as being particularly beautiful.

Man oh man...15 days, I'm getting really excited now!
