DR, can you tell me what we are running on Thursday and when we will be done with that run. Looks like I am bringing both of my sons and one of them has to be to work at 6am on Saturday, so... I will have to bring him back Thursday night because of Fridays run. Is the itinerary page 1 still correct? Thanks.

Oh, got my 3pack AAL today, also the UCA bushings, hope to have the sliders sometime this week. Question for anyone, should I replace the UCA bushings (they have a little play in them now) before the run, or replace them after (and save the new ones for repair/replace/alignment after the run).

Thursday we come out of the Cabins through Box Canyon to Florence, where one of you will meet the Moormann Mother Ghost and she will slice you into little pieces.

Keep the bushings as spares until after the run.

Meh.

Yep, we'll be back to civilization around midday on Thursday....that'll be a great opportunity to run back to town if you need to. GPS coordinates have been given for the night 4 campsite, and it's very easy to find....about 40 miles south of Florence about a half mile off the highway.

The itinerary is still correct.

Tried using your coordinates on google earth, but it wants it in degrees, feet, then inches... yours looks like an IP address Razz

I am trying to think of where this turnoff is. Is there a dirt road by this mile marker?

Also, what is your ETA to this campsite?

Yes, there is a dirt road to the west of the highway. Once on that dirt road, take another immediate left after you cross the cattleguard and drop into the sand wash. We'll be in there a few hundred yards by the corrals.

3/14 Day 2 – Depart from camp. Run Lower and Upper Ajax. Possible side trips to area mines afterward, time permitting. Return to same camp.

I'm tentatively planning on meeting you for either day 2 or 3. Did you post directions somewhere to get to the campsite, or is this as good as it gets? What time should I be at camp on either day?

Sorry if this was detailed somewhere in this 9+ page thread, if it was could you direct me as to where? Thanks.

EDIT: I found CC Road on my topo program, if I run down that ~3 miles, will I see the camp?

We're on CC road about 3 miles from the trail head. about 6 or 7 miles from the highway. We'll be on the south side not far from the road. If you go in a ways and cross a cattle guard and start into a canyon with corrals, etc. , you've passed us.

/16 Day 4 – Break camp, drive out Box Canyon to Florence. May arrange for a stop there for showers, etc. Drive to Oracle, AZ. (about 70 miles). Camp location is just south of mile marker 98 on Hwy 79 - N 32.37.447, W 110.00.074.

Mattman and I are trying to figure out the the camp for Day 4 also. According to those coor. it puts you pretty far east by Fort Grant, almost due North of Wilcox. Can we confirm these coor.?

Here is where I think you guys are speaking of. If so the coor. should read 32.37.447, W 111.00.074 (not 110). The red flag should be the turn off (US 89 and SR 79 are the same road BTW) and I think the campsite is on the wash you speak of(it may be to far down the wash, but I figured better to show farther down then not far enough)

I'm a little more impressed with my TOPO software now that I found out I can export maps like this.
