3/13 Day 1 – Depart Phoenix, meet at old Florence Jct. Texaco at intersection of US60 and SR79 – 8:30am sharp for staging. Proceed down SR79 5 miles to Cottonwood Canyon turnoff, turn left and go to camp site to offload gear. Running Lower and Upper Woodpecker that day. Camp about 3 miles from trailhead off Cottonwood Canyon road.

3/14 Day 2 – Depart from camp. Run Lower and Upper Ajax. Possible side trips to area mines afterward, time permitting. Return to same camp.

3/15 Day 3 – Break camp, drive into Martinez Canyon (about 2 hours on dirt), offload gear at cabins. Run Martinez Canyon Trail loop (the one with the Luge bypass). Return to cabins to camp.

3/16 Day 4 – Break camp, drive out Box Canyon to Florence. May arrange for a stop there for showers, etc. Drive to Oracle, AZ. (about 70 miles). Camp location is just south of mile marker 98 on Hwy 79 - N 32.37.447, W 110.00.074.

3/17 Day 5 – Break camp, return to Oracle and run Charouleau Gap trail towards Tucson. Camp 3/4 way through the trail. Those meeting us can meet at the Big circle K parking lot in Oracle between 9:15 and 9:30 am. Top off gas tanks if needed.

3/18 Day 6 – Break camp late, run the rest of Charouleau Gap - there's some fun stuff to play on near the end. Return to Phoenix. (may be an optional sand wash run - searching for trails)

NOTE: AZ State Trust Land permits are required for campers on nights 1, 2, and 4. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Refer to the other sticky thread on info for obtaining a trust land permit.

yeah I know. It would be really cool if I could come though. I may be able toget time off, but I would have to have my truck done by then which I don't think is going to happen.

These trails are not Titan friendly. Better get a lot of lift on that bad boy.

on most of the pics and videos it looks like there is enough room for the titan (although I've never been, so I'm not certain...but...) and I'm planning on the procomp 6" lift and 36" Iroks...that'd probably work, huh?

even with that setup, you might want to allow for the possibility of body damage, some of these trails were pretty gnarly.

with a vehicle wider/longer than a Hardbody pickup, body damage will happen.

That itinerary would be more pedestrian backwards. Woodpecker and Ajax on days one and two are going to make Martinez look like a crawl through the mall. You guys are animals. smiley4
