WOO HOO now I can prank call marshall any time I want.

Not that anyone even knew or will be broken up about this but:

I was trying to get up there for the run but did not register since I wasn't sure. Now it looks real unlikely. I ordered a wheel hub for my truck and it doesn't look like it is gonna come in on time. The problem is that since GOX I have had 3 studs broken off and unremovable in the passenger side wheel hub so I have been running with only 3 studs on that side. I would probably risk it anyway but I don't wanna risk holding up the group while I drill out and replace 3 studs. It is really a shame since I had been looking forward to meeting the characters of the N4W.

That is too bad Ivan. Have you considered looking at local salvage yards for the parts?

Or you could just wait for this year's 2 hour feature length AZ Run video (yes, its gonna happen again!)... Wink

Be careful with killing the new tent datz, its so small, you could drown. I'm worried about blowing the top off mine from built up air pressure.

come on now give me some credit. I tried to extract them. then I took them to a shop to have them try. Then I had them try to weld some studs in. None of it worked. There is no way to get the stud remnants out they are fused to the hub. Since I was planning on replacing the hub anyway I had the shop try to weld half studs in there but the welds did not hold. I actually ran hells revenge and hell's gate in that condition. It is killing me not going but I don't wanna be a pain in the but. Heck the AZ run falls right on my spring break so I thought I had it made. Xterras are few and far between at local salvage shops and they charge a left nut for parts so that is why I didn't do that.

Tell you guys what if one of you can commit to welding in the studs so that they hold on for the run I'll go. I just wanna be relatively sure I won't be the pain in the but wannabee wheeler.

Yeah Ivan is coming. Hey guys two things...put your escape valve for your air mattresses where he can't get them while you are sleeping, and DON'T play drunken checkers with him either, he cheats or something.

Fine it is a deal. Great now that I agreed to go I find that my AC is not working. I will be spending the next 2 days trying to fix that so I don't sweat my ass off in AZ. Does anyone know if the coolant on the ac radiator is the same as that in the regular radiator. I noticed a leak of what I thought was antifreeze from a hose leading into the firewall on the pass. side. Hey Marshall do you have a piece of carpet I can crash on, I promise your air valve will be safe if you do. Plus I want to mess with rondo.

Wooohoooo!!!!! We'll make sure you get through it all. Never know.. someone may have soem spare parts layin around. Theres always the junkyards too... lots of those around here. If we have to, we can weld something up to get you through.. can you say Lincoln locked hub?? Smile

BTW, do Xterras and D21s use the same wheelbearing/wheel hub assembly? If so, that'd make it real easy to get parts.
