Ya know, a Nissan rear isn't ALL that much lighter than a Dana 60... I'd take the gain in strength for the small amount of weight gained.

Will dont you worry the HB shoudl be OK for the drive out... only thing still busted is the steering box. After it gets fixed i should have it perfect unless the engine lets go. I dont see that happening.

where in AZ are these places? I been considering amtrac and flying. If i were to take one of these which airport or train station should i head to?

Phoenix. the whole run is in the surrounding area, never more than an hour or two direct drive out.
