Actually, $21 isnt bad at all.. Thats about double the cost of the crappy plastic ones which are NOT environmentally friendly at all... In fact, California banned the Blitz plastic cans due to the fumes and terrible leakage.

Those Nato cans will last a lifetime. What I really hated about the red plastic cans is that if they are exposed to sunlight, they shatter easily. Imagine if it was full of gas and you bumped it the wrong way.. not very safe at all.

the american cas cans like you guys mentioned do really suck, they have a big screw on lid. last trail ride i was on i followed a jeep with a can on the back, every bump more gas came out of it even though we retightened it with pliers and stuff a few times.

Larada's is at Main and Extension. Awesome store. They have every size ammo can and every imaginable configuration of cast iron cookware you can think of. I also got my mummy bag and my hiking boots there.

John, if you head out to pick up any more of those cans at that place Duerk went to, get me one and I'll pay you back this weekend. I have a 5 gal plastic can, but I'd prefer a good steel one.
