What happened to the rear window?

I locked my keys in my rig in front of Marshalls house after getting back from running DeSoto trail. We tried for hours to get in, but finally Marshall just said F it and smashed the window with his fist while proclaiming "Damned Cali boys!"

How in the world did you break both axle shafts and the Amsteel winch line in that mud hole (refering to last pic). That Amsteel winch line breaks at like 14,000 lbs!!! Did you have after market axle shafts or stock?

hey terence what happened to the histeer arm? thats a shakerbuilt right? i like thier design (step-in) and am considering buying thier set...any flaws?

It was not a straight pull, the winchline dug into the side of the hawse fairlead. It now has some nice grooves...

The Shakerbuilt arms are good, but I am getting a different set now. I am going with some higher end units for strength and reliability, I don't want them bending again.

it bent huh....do you know of any other arms that step in like that for clearance?

I have Sky arms, they don't step in, but they do come in towards the front. I'm running 15x8s with 4.25" backspacing and theres LOADS of room there. Too bad I can't say the same about my caliper mounting bracket...

You won't believe this, but I met an old lady who needed some help working around her house, and I went into her garage for some stuff she wanted out, and she had this cream puff Patrol there! She said her husband was the original owner, and never really used it except when he first bought it back in '65. It was from Florida, and they had it hauled here when they moved here in the early 70's. Her husband died and she said since I liked it so much I can work for her for it! This thing is totally stock and has a convertable roof made of canvas. The paint is clean and kinda teal blue or something. I will get pics tommarrow, I am afraid to start it, because it hasn't been used for so long, it might need new fuel lines and the gas tank cleaned. I am totally stoked and think I might have found a really good old unit!

the wheels i plan on running are 16x8s with 4.5" BS....do you have a 44 front? and whats the deal with the caliper brakets?

I have 3/4 ton front brakes on my truck, they're made for 16+" wheels, I knew they would hit on the 15s. a 16x8 with 4.5 should keep things about as narrow as you're going to be able to go on a d44.
